I got the Ribs, cornbread and mac&cheese. The meat was falling off the bone with a saucey BBQ sauce that went perfectly with the cornbread. Mac&cheese had the perfect cheese to noodle ratio that tasted like they had someones grandma back there chefing it up. The food was matched with the best hospitality you can ask for. Joe and Billy couldn't have been more welcoming, personable and accommodating. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Excited to go back to try other menu options

We had such a wonderful experience at Goo eat’n! The food was absolutely excellent fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The service matched the food warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment we walked in, we felt like family with family. There’s such a special energy in the space, the kind that makes you slow down and enjoy being there. Every dish felt like it was made to be shared, and every interaction left us smiling. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with that true sense of hospitality. We can’t wait to return, this will definitely be one of our regular stops in Kingston!

This place is super cozy, a real neighborhood gem. It's clean, feels like home, and the food is great! You gotta try the cornbread... And for dessert, get the sweet potato cheesecake!

The ambiance at Good Eat’n was charming, cozy and comforting. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owner Joe as well as his staff. The initial greet in any establishment will set the tone of whats too come, experience wise. I was so happy I looked up southern food and came across this establishment. The ambiance is something I’d like to compare to dinner at grandmas house on a Sunday afternoon. This is the perfect environment to dine in on any given day, especially if you’re looking for a fantastic southern cooked meal. Everything on the menu looked incredible so I had to go with a couple different dishes to get a feel of the menu. I had the catfish which was lightly breaded, had the perfect crunch and nice flavor. The ribs were so tender and fall off the bone I mean it was incredible, paired with the delicious collard greens. Next the fried chicken…. Wow the crunch, the flavor and the juiciness of the chicken had me in awe. That dish was also paired with a tasty and cheesy Mac n cheese as well as yams. The cornbread is and will always be a favorite of mine during dinner. Can we talk about the turkey? I mean wow so juicy and flavorful , I almost thought I was having thanksgiving, I mean juicy and surpassed my expectations. Now everyone’s part of any meal… desert, am I right? This cake was the perfect late night to go snack with a warm cup of milk. I can’t wait to come back and indulge in five more dishes. Thank you Good Eat’n and staff for such an amazing experience.

absolutely incredible - the fried chicken was so good crispy and juicy, sides were excellent, and I very much recommend the sticky wing special. Service was also so good, everyone was very nice, and I will be coming back again!

just moved to the area and saw this place recommended on facebook! they did not disappoint. we got the fried chicken and fish sandwich with yams, mac n cheese and the collard greens with honey AND sweet potato cornbread. we wanted the ribs but they were already sold out - guess we gotta go back! now if you like your tea sweet sweet sweet… this is the place - reminded me of my grandmas sweet tea and almost brought a tear to my eye. everyone here was so kind and just such great vibes all around!

My sister and I decided to check out Good Eats today for the first time. We were welcomed by the owner Joe who was also our waiter and cook! We had great conversation with him while he enthusiastically prepared our breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious! Glad to see a friendly local face here! Best of luck with your business Joe! Went here for lunch on a rainy afternoon and had a great meal! We got the BBQ ribs and the chicken wings, which were super crispy and juicy. Big portions, hearty food, friendly owners/staff, and a calm atmosphere. Would come again!

Best food you can get in town hands down. The people who work there are extremely accommodating and warm. I had the fried fish and the sweet potato cornbread. Highkey the best cornbread I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve never had sweet potato cornbread before until I ate here. It was delish.

What a perfect spot. Some of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had! Service was so attentive and friendly. Shoutout to Joe the owner who checked in on us to make sure everything was going well, and bonus, he’s a Steelers fan! HERE WE GO!! cannot wait to come back and visit. We came all the way from Brooklyn NY, and we are already planning our next trip out here. Thank you Joe + crew
